Although the government has moved the bank holiday in 2012 to coincide with the Queen’s Jubilee, we have decided after a great deal of thought to keep our race date the same as usual at the end of May. This means that you can come along and enjoy the 29th Kirkcudbright Academy Half Marathon on Saturday 26th May and still be able to enjoy the celebrations the following weekend if you wish to do so.
The event is staffed entirely by volunteers and we thank them wholeheartedly for the time, energy and commitment they give each year.
The half marathon was established to raise money for the School Fund. Every year hundreds of runners and walkers join us to raise money for charities around the globe.
